New St. Louis Company hosts Local Food Drive to Support Oakville Neighbors
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - St. Louis, MO — November 24, 2025 — Current Cannabis, a newly opened cannabis dispensary is proud to announce the launch of its St. Louis Food Drive efforts, a community-focused initiative designed to help local families in need during the holiday season. As part of the dispensary’s ongoing commitment to giving back, the food drive encourages customers and Oakville residents to donate non-perishable food items throughout the campaign.
The mission as a new business in Oakville, Current Cannabis is to create a positive impact beyond its walls of their newly opened dispensary at 4455 Telegraph Rd. As food insecurity continues to affect families across the region, Current Cannabis is stepping forward to support local food programs and strengthen community ties in South County.
“Our customers are the heart of this neighborhood, and this is one small way we can show appreciation and support,” said Adolphus Busch V, CEO of Current Cannabis. “We’re inviting everyone from first-time visitors to our biggest fans to help us make a difference. Even one item can help a local family.”
Upon entering the dispensary, donors will be greeted with a clearly marked drop-off area and informational banners highlighting the initiative. As part of its commitment to community elevation, Current Cannabis offers exclusive benefits to customers who donate items when they visit the store until the remainder of 2025.

Leave your PJs on and leave the cooking to us as we prepare a kid-approved breakfast. After breakfast, families will enjoy fun games, crafting activities, and plenty of photo ops with Santa.

"Making Their Mark" brings together over eighty works by an intergenerational and international group of women artists represented in the San Francisco Bay Area–based Shah Garg Collection. Featuring a wide spectrum of artworks—including painting, sculpture, installation, textile, beadwork, and ceramics from the past eight decades—the exhibition emphasizes dialogues between artists who circumvent and break through conventions in art-making, embracing craft techniques, new technologies, conceptual inquiries, inventive methods, and uncommon materials. Artists in the exhibition include Andrea Bowers, Suzanne Jackson, Julie Mehretu, Howardina Pindell, Joan Mitchell, Lorna Simpson, Jaune Quick-to-See Smith, Sarah Sze, Kay WalkingStick, and Mary Weatherford, among many others.

Our current exhibit features over 250 pieces from artists Jared Minnick, Maxine Thirteen, Andy Dykeman, Kerry Smith, Erik Thompson, Steven Hayes, Katie Chilman, Mark Regester, and Paola Scharberg, along with guest artists Cadence Hodes, Jasmine Raskas, JT Walls, Justin Tolentino, Jackie Rabbit and Summer Kennedy.

Santa’s trading his sleigh for the Tom Sawyer riverboat this holiday season, and he’s bringing all the festive fun with him! Gather the family for a jolly afternoon cruise, where Santa himself will lead everyone in singing your favorite holiday tunes! Santa will be ready to pose with the kiddos and families, as we'll have professional photographers on board with photo packages available for purchase. Sip on some complimentary hot chocolate or coffee as you explore the multiple decks of the boat, and enjoy a special holiday treat at your table to share. Saint Louis Ballet’s The Nutcracker has become a cherished holiday tradition for thousands of families across the region. Each December, audiences are swept away by this magical production—filled with glorious dancing, dazzling costumes, and Tchaikovsky’s beloved score.

This year, the enchantment grows even bigger—literally—with the unveiling of a brand-new Nutcracker tree in Act I, designed by renowned theatrical designer James Wolk. Making its debut this November, the stunning tree will transform before the audience’s eyes, growing from 11 feet 6 inches in the party scene to an awe-inspiring 23 feet during the dramatic battle scene—adding a breathtaking new dimension to this beloved holiday classic.

Under the direction and choreography of Gen Horiuchi, The Nutcracker comes to life with elegance, energy, and wonder—from the festive holiday party and the fierce battle with the Mouse King to the glittering Land of Snow and the sweet delights of the Kingdom of Sweets. Featuring a full cast of professional dancers and talented students from the Saint Louis Ballet School, The Nutcracker is a heartwarming celebration of the season that continues to inspire awe and joy for all ages.

The Nutcracker has evolved for more than a century — but Leverage Dance Theater’s immersive reimagining breaks the mold, inviting audiences to step inside the story itself and experience the magic from the inside out.

Step through the doorway of snow and ice and into a magical world where you’re not just watching The Nutcracker — you’re part of it.

This December, Leverage Dance Theater’s “A Not So Normal Nutcracker” transforms 2700 Cherokee Street into a living fairytale for an intimate, immersive re-imagining of Tchaikovsky’s beloved holiday tradition.

e into the Land of Sweets, where each room becomes a sensory adventure. Candy Canes, Gingerbread, Licorice, Marzipan, Tea, and Hot Chocolate come alive through music, movement, and design — transforming this beloved holiday tradition into a vibrant, multi-sensory celebration for all ages.

We are bringing together the Black community in and around College Hill who have been disproportionately impacted by the 5/16 tornado and are facing a crisis regarding conditions of life. We don't need charity, we need reparations and solidarity with self-determination for our community.

Volunteers needed: unskilled as well as contractors, electricians, roofers, tuckpointing masons, window-repair people, drywallers, lawyers etc.
