Puzzling Adventures are a cross between a scavenger hunt, an adventure race, and an informative self-guided walking tour. Each adventure consists of a series of locations that you are guided to where you are required to answer a question or solve a puzzle to receive your next instruction. Compete as a group, individually or create multiple teams and race each other. Almost all of our adventures are designed to be wheelchair and stroller friendly and all are carefully crafted to be entertaining and informative with something to appeal to all ages. Complete the adventure as quickly as possible to win first place or take your time and enjoy the journey. Price is per team, not per person. Groups can be any size, but small groups are recommended for the best experience.

The Foundry Art Centre is thrilled to start the 2025 exhibition year with two powerful exhibitions: Joseph Canizales’ Geology in the Expanded Field and Benjamin Bradshaw’s River Town Space Time.

Joseph Canizales is a Salvadoran-Honduran American artist based in Miami, Florida. In Geology in the Expanded Field, Canizales utilizes digital and analog processes to reflect upon our understanding of the intertwined relationship between geological forces and our built environment. Through 3D printing, 3D modeling, 3D scanning, and analog art forms, Canizales investigates the connections between modern, rapid construction methods and the incredibly slow, yet determined march of naturally occurring erosion.

St. Louis-based inter-dimensional artist Benjamin Bradshaw’s River Town Space Time includes paintings and installation work that traverse the psychic topography of an endless internal landscape, weaving together the vibrant threads of graffiti, magical realism, and visionary art. Bradshaw draws inspiration from the raw energy and spontaneity of graffiti, as well as the delicate brushwork of ancient Chinese landscape painting. Employing a methodology of dynamic harmonies, his approach evokes the elemental forces of water, the intricate structure of plant growth, and the stratified histories of geological deep time.

These new exhibitions will open on Friday, January 3rd, 5-8pm, as part of the Foundry’s First Friday programming. Art activities, music, the Foundry bar, and more will be available throughout the evening.

Geology in the Expanded Field and River Town Space Time will be on view in the Main Galleries through February 15th.
