You do not want to miss this family fun event that encourages STEAM (science, tech, engineering, arts, math)-enhanced collaborations with our students and community members. Each team will create one-of-a-kind cardboard boats during Unleashing Potential’s summer enrichment programs.

10 Year Anniversary Celebration!
Over 10 years, Story Stitchers have collaborated with artists 16 to 83 years old on music, storytelling, neighborhood block party performances, public service announcement campaigns, and multi-year signature projects focusing efforts on high quality art and innovative youth violence prevention programs. Artists have built an archive of Black voices from 2014, through Ferguson and Michael Brown's death, the Covid-19 pandemic, and through years of heartbreaking violence in our beautiful city to bring unheard voices to light. Together, with you, we are reshaping the future of our region through youth empowerment that builds from exposure and experiences in high quality artistic practice.

The 2024 Adelante Awards will be held on Friday, August 23rd, at the Four Seasons Hotel & Spa in downtown St. Louis. With this years theme "Gateway to Growth" we aim to highlight the contributions and achievements of individuals, entrepreneurs, and corporations in the St. Louis Metro Area. In keeping with the HCC mission, the awards focus on Hispanic & Latino businesses and professionals as well as on non-Hispanic & Latino companies and individuals that have made a significant contribution to the community at large.

We invite you to be Booked for the Evening to help celebrate 60 years of the Millstadt Library. Join us as we review our past, explore 60 years of progress, and look to the future. Guests will enjoy appetizers, desserts, cash bar, silent auction, raffles, and musical performances by the Belleville Philharmonic Society.
The event will take place on Saturday, September 21, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Millstadt VFW. It is $30 per person or $50 per couple and all funds will go towards the new Millstadt Library and our goal to serve the public on a larger scale with more events, programs, social space and resources. Reservations are required by August 31, 2024.

The Congenital Heart Walk series directly supports the mission of The Children’s Heart Foundation: to fund the most promising research to advance the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of congenital heart defects (CHDs). The 2024 Congenital Heart Walk series will raise critical research funds in 27 cities around the U.S., bringing together 15,000 walkers, hundreds of teams and thousands of donors in the fight against CHDs. The NKF Golf Classic is the nation's Premier Amateur Golf Event for Charity. Each year thousands of golfers from across the country participate in 30 events across the U.S. for the exciting competition and the chance to earn an invitation to the National Finals at Pebble Beach - while supporting the NKF and our mission.
Enter a team in one of two competitive divisions: the Handicap Index or Gross Division, providing you and your guests with a competitive yet social day of golf whether you are a low handicapper or new to the game. Each Handicap Index Division team can have one player with a handicap index of 8.0 or less and the total combined handicap index for your four players must be 42.0 or more. Golfers must have submitted at least 3 scores towards their Handicap Index in the last 12 months. The Gross Division is for teams whose golfers do not have an official USGA Handicap Index or do not meet the above Handicap Index requirements. Non-competitive entries are also available.
Top teams in both competitive divisions from each NKF Golf Classic are invited to compete in the National Finals held at the famed Pebble Beach Resorts (additional fees required) held January 16-19, 2025.

The 9th Annual Veterans Day 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, November 9, 2024, will be a fun-filled day where people of all ages to come together and race to transform veteran lives. Join us and participate in the 5K, one-mile route, or kids' dash and enjoy the runner's village with snacks, beverages, yard games, giveaways, music, kids' activities and much more! In honor of our service men and women, the City of St. Louis hosts the St. Louis Regional Veterans Day Observance Ceremony and Parade following the event. Can't make it in-person? You can still participate through the Racejoy app! The Veterans Day Run/Walk raises unrestricted revenue for St. Patrick Center, a ministry of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of St. Louis.
