Marian Middle School is an all-girls Catholic school that provides students from low-income backgrounds with quality education, enrichment, and Graduate Support. Marian Magic is our largest fundraiser and it has experienced tremendous growth and success over the years, raising more than $500,000 annually. Less than 3% of the total cost of educating Marian students comes from tuition. Marian Magic is critical to ensure quality education for Marian Girls.

All funds raised from the Juggling Ball will support the Flying Children’s Scholarship Fund, giving children with limited financial resources the chance to defy gravity and soar to new heights inside - and outside - the circus ring.

Carondelet Historical Society will be hosting a silent auction May 1- May 5. Items being auctioned include 1904 World’s Fair post cards and Singer Sewing Machine advertisements. The auction will take plan on-site at CHS and will run from 10am-2pm May 1- May 4 and noon-3pm on Sunday, May 5. Raffle tickets for the Saint Louis World’s Fair book (1904) will be available for purchase during the auction; the winning ticket will be drawn on Sunday, May 5 at 3:30pm. Various items from 1904 will be given as attendance prizes every 30 minutes on the final day of the auction (Sunday, May 5). There is no price for admission to Carondelet Historical Society.

Registration is now open for the Cinco De Kilometer 5k Fun Walk to benefit improvements to Creve Coeur Lake Memorial Park. The walk, put on by the St. Louis County Parks Foundation, will take place at Creve Coeur Lake Memorial Park on Friday, May 3 at 6 p.m. The walk will start at the Tremayne shelter located at the Sailboat Cove, 13725 Marine Ave., Maryland Heights, MO 63043. The walk will follow the trail alongside of the lake. Participants are encouraged to register by April 25 to receive a discounted registration fee and a commemorative 5K t-shirt. All walkers will be provided with a bib number and free drink after the walk. Registration is available for $15 for those 12 and under, and $30 for those 13 and up. A Red Circle and Phi Global Farms will hold their second annual pig roast. Tickets are $50 per person and proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit the nonprofit’s Healthy Community Market, which provides fresh and affordable produce plus additional healthy food options to the region.
The evening features a pig roast presented by Phi Global Farms along with side dishes by NeeuQ’s “The Experience” and Chef Jessica Moore, drinks by Mesha Lewis of Moo’s Mobile Mixer, sparkling punch by Jigga Juiced Up, and sweets by Kim Mosby Summers. Live musical entertainment will be provided by Lady J Huston and her band from 5 to 7 p.m.
Phi Global Farms is a 13-acre urban farm located in Spanish Lake, Mo. that uses agricultural-based educational systems to end poverty and promote health and wellness. Founded in 2018 by Mitchell D. Pearson, the farm addresses the needs of distressed communities, especially those in urban settings.
Founded in 2017, A Red Circle is a nonprofit dedicated to the advancement of racial equity in North St. Louis County, Mo. The organization creates economic and community betterment solutions through education, employment, and empowerment. A Red Circle has four Missouri locations – Healthy Flavor Community Garden in Riverview, North County Agricultural Education Center in Pine Lawn, The Creative Spot in Ferguson, and North County Community Nexus in Bellefontaine Neighbors – to best serve the community and improve wellness opportunities for its citizens who experience healthy food access disparities in the region.
