Journalist Stone Phillips grew up in Ballwin, Missouri and graduated from Parkway West High School.
Phillips spent 15 years at NBC News as a co-host of Dateline NBC and served as a substitute host for NBC Nightly News, Today and Meet the Press. He now does reports on his own time at the website, Stone Phillips Reports.
His new documentary, Moving With Grace, which he shot and directed himself makes its national debut on Nine PBS on Tuesday, May 7 at 7:00 p.m. The film is about his family’s personal story of caring for their aging parents.
As they aged, Phillips’ parents, Vic and Grace Phillips, remained in Ballwin but moved to a nearby retirement community in 2007. His parents, now in their nineties, were recently moved once again to North Carolina to be near their daughter who’s a physician there.
Host Don Marsh spoke with Stone Phillips about his family and the new documentary.
