The Silk Road Dinner Series will be hosted monthly beginning on Wednesday, June 18, through August. Helmed by Executive Chef Tim Adams, the series brings together some of St. Louis’ most celebrated culinary talents: Chef Julie Troung of DD Mau, 2025 James Beard semifinalist Nick Bognar of Indo and Sado, and 2025 James Beard Finalist Loryn Nalic of Balkan Treat Box. Madrina will donate 20 percent of proceeds from the series to the International Institute of St. Louis, which champions immigrant and refugee communities to thrive to create a welcoming, prosperous, and healthy region.

The money raised at the walk will be used to assist our overall mission to find better treatments and cures for bleeding disorders and to prevent the complications of these disorders through education, awareness, advocacy and research. The event will include a light breakfast, a DJ, a bubble bus, and fun for people of all ages! This is a dog-friendly event, so bring your pups!

The U.S. Grant Camp of the SUVCW, a federally chartered 501(c)(3) organization and we are hosting a dinner event with Brooks Simpson, a highly respected and acclaimed professor and historian on U.S. Grant with numerous books to his credit. Professor Simpson is the Arizona State University Foundation Professor of History. Professor Simpson studies American political and military history and the American presidency, specializing in the Civil War and Reconstruction eras. The dinner is on July 19, 2025, at the Frontenac Hilton. Drinks are at 6:00 p.m. and dinner is at 7:00 p.m. with the discussion afterwards. We believe this is great opportunity for your members to attend a dinner a learn more about President and General Grant from one of the greatest Grant biographers.
