The bills now move to the House. Meanwhile, legalizing sports betting is stalled in the Senate.

The Missouri Senate passed the first of two supplemental budgets on Wednesday. With no changes made to the bill, it now goes to Gov. Mike Parson, who’s expected to sign it.

The Senate version outspends the budget passed by the House weeks ago by more than $1 billion. Additionally, the Senate has yet to address how to allocate federal funding from the American Rescue Plan Act.

The House passed the Senate version of a supplemental budget bill Thursday morning without having to go to conference committee. Gov. Mike Parson signed it Thursday afternoon.
