St. Louis, MO – Salisbury Street between 11th and 14th streets in the city will be closed for at least a week after the failure of a 140-year-old sewer line caused the road to collapse.
A truck traveling north on Salisbury fell into the hole caused by the collapse. The driver escaped without injury, and the truck was extracted about seven hours after the accident.
Drivers are being asked to use 11th Street to get around the damaged section of Salisbury. Entrance to the McKinley Bridge is not affected.
