East St. Louis, Ill. – A third East St. Louis teenager has been charged in the severe beating of a mentally challenged adult relative.
The 13-year-old girl was charged as a juvenile Wednesday with aggravated battery of a disabled person after turning herself in.
Seventeen-year-old Davion Cutler and his 16-year-old brother were charged Tuesday. The younger teens are not being named because of their ages. Cutler is being held on $50,000 bond.
Authorities have not released the name of the 34-year-old victim.
She suffered injuries that include broken bones and cuts and bruises. Her right leg was amputated after it was infected with gangrene.
Police say the woman lived with an aunt, who allegedly directed the beatings until she died last week of a heart attack.
