Kansas City, MO. – A man who attempted to become a Target security guard was identified as the shooter at a Kansas City mall.
David W. Logsdon fatally shot two shoppers and was headed into his former workplace when a police officer shot and killed him Sunday.
Kansas City Police Sgt. John Jackson says Logsdon failed to become a security guard at Target.
"He had worked there a few months ago," Jackson said. "He had been attempting to become a security guard. But because of the outstanding warrants...our private officer commission wouldn't provide him with the license, so he was let go from the store."
Lodsdon fatally shot 33-year-old Leslie Ballew of Kansas City and 30-year-old Luke A. Nilges of Shawnee, Kansas in the mall parking lot.
Before that he had killed his neighbor 67-year-old Patricia Reed and taken her car.
