Jefferson City, MO. – The Missouri State Education Board says it wants more specific plans for improvement from the St. Louis school district.
The St. Louis district currently has only provisional accreditation from the state. And conflict among district leaders has contributed to a high turnover rate for its superintendents.
Today, new superintendent Diana Bourisaw presented an upbeat picture of the school system to members of the education board.
But board member Tom Davis encouraged her to develop more specific objectives, while Board member Russell Thompson says it's too soon to know whether the district is making progress.
