St. Louis, MO – The effort to recall St. Louis Alderman Freeman Bosley, Sr. is over and it has failed.
City election officials say the group trying to recall Bosley did not get enough valid signatures to force a vote.
That decision had been delayed by a lawsuit that challenged the board's rules that give an alderman a chance to get names removed from petitions.
But a judge Thursday ruled for the election board, saying its policies are valid. That let the board continue its process of verifying names.
Bosley represents the Third Ward in the city's north side.
