More allegations against Metro-East OB/GYN

Jerseyville, Ill – Police say five to ten more women have come forward with allegations against a Metro-East doctor accused of drugging and fondling an unconscious patient.

Prosecutors say Roger Schroeder, 53, an an obstetrician and gynecologist, injected a 19-year-old patient with a controlled substance on January 19th and sexually abused her.

Schroeder's attorney says the woman was a patient of Schroeder's and was eight months pregnant at the time of the alleged abuse.

Schroeder has been indicted on charges of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, aggravated battery and criminal sexual abuse. He is free on $100,000 bond.

His attorney has said that this client denies the charges.
