The Illinois House on Wednesday took the first step in limiting the sale of violent and sexually explicit video games.
That chamber approved legislation that makes it illegal to sell such games to kids. The measure would also impose fines on those who break the law.
The video game measure is being pushed by Governor Rod Blagojevich. But despite the overwhelming vote, the measure drew some serious criticism during debate.
