Three Murdered at Belleville Beauty Salon

By AP/KWMU

Belleville, Ill. – Police in Belleville are still looking for whoever killed three people Wednesday in a beauty salon.

A customer found the bodies after arriving for an 11:00 a.m. appointment.

Owner Michael Cooney was stabbed to death; so, too, were sisters Dorothy Bone, 82, and Doris Fischer, 79. Autopsies are scheduled Thursday.

Belleville Police Chief Terry Delaney said police also are searching for Cooney's gold-colored Nissan Pathfinder.

Salon customer Felicia Fuchs says she's shocked and appalled over the deaths. She says Cooney was her hairdresser for 30 years and was a wonderful man.

Police say robbery was the motive for the murders.
