Edwardsville, Ill. – The man who lost last month's race for State Supreme Court in Southern Illinois is now suing two groups for $110 million.

Gordon Maag says the groups, including the Illinois Chamber of Commerce, published a campaign flyer than defamed and injured his reputation.

Maag not only lost to Republican Lloyd Karmeier, but voters also refused to retain him as an appellate court judge.

Spokesmen for the two groups did not immediately return calls for comment. The Coalition for Jobs, Growth and Prosperity, along with the coalition's chairman and treasurer, are also named in the lawsuit.
