Girl Arrested After School Bus Incident

By AP/KWMU

St. Louis – A 13-year-old girl allegedly held a knife to the throat of a 12-year-old boy and cut him near his collarbone on their summer school bus Monday.

The Maryland Heights police say the wound is superficial and did not require medical treatment.

Police say the two students got into an argument on the bus that had picked up students from Lafayette High School in Ballwin and was bringing them to St. Louis.

They say the girl removed a steak knife from her purse and held it to the boy's throat.

The girl was charged with second-degree assault and armed criminal action.
