St. Louis, Mo. – St. Louis police have arrested 15 people they say planned to participate in violent protests at this weekend's World Agricultural Forum at Union Station.
Friday afternoon police raided two houses on Illinois Avenue and a building on Cherokee Street that houses the Gateway Greens.
The 15 remain in jail. A police spokeswoman says they are charged with occupying condemned buildings.
Anti-agribusiness activists are holding their own conference this weekend called Biodevestation-7. They say police are overreacting to protest plans.
