Shooting near Harris-Stowe State University during Sumner High School graduation

St. Louis Public Schools officials say there was a shooting in a parking lot at Harris-Stowe State University on Friday afternoon, near the graduation ceremony for Sumner High School. No one was injured, but police are investigating.

A shooting took place near Harris Stowe-State University around 4 p.m. Friday while a graduation ceremony for Sumner High School seniors was underway.

Suspects opened fire on a vehicle that was parked near the university, according to a statement from St. Louis Public Schools. No injuries were reported.

The school district is working with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, and an investigation is ongoing.
