Extra Security in Place For Soulard Mardi Gras

St. Louis, MO – The extra officers will be out thanks to a grant of more than $60,000 from the state of Missouri.

The celebration kicks off tonight (Friday) with the Mayor's Mardi Gras
Masqueride Ball and two other galas.

The Grand Parade - joined by
legendary boxing promoter Don King - starts at 11 a.m. Saturday.

The celebration ends with the Fat Tuesday parade on the eve of the 40-day Lenten season.
