St. Louis, MO – Officials in De Soto, Missouri will break ground this morning (Tuesday) on a new $8.85 million school renovation project.
A tornado destroyed several school buildings last May. Worst hit was the junior high school, where the gymnasium roof collapsed.
The school district plans to fix that building, the high school, and two elementary schools.
The St. Louis architectural firm Kromm, Rikimaru and Johansen (KRJ) is designing the facilities.
De Soto is about 50 miles south of St. Louis.
