St. Louis, MO – A New Year's Eve celebration that's expected to draw thousands will be held in St. Louis' Forest Park tomorrow night. The free party is designed to mark the 100th anniversary of the World's Fair in St. Louis. The night of music and family activities runs from 6 p.m. until 1 in the morning. The city's zoo, history museum, art museum and science center are holding special events. A 10 story Ferris wheel will also on hand.
St. Louis 2004 president Peter Sortino says there will be something for everyone, The first night activities at the zoo, the children's village, families are welcome and there's lots of things for families to do. There's also things for other people who might just want to do something different, like go to the Art Museum on New Year's Eve at ten or eleven o'clock and then get back down to government hill and watch the fireworks to ring in the new year. Sortino says that while there will be no parking inside Forest Park, there is plenty of free parking at lots around the park, with shuttles bringing revelers to their destinations.
