- Grilled broccoli with cayenne-tinged tahini dressing
- Mafalda, house-made noodles with grilled vegetable bolognese
- Fried chicken liver paired with Elmwood’s house-made ranch
Sultān Mediterranean Restaurant (4200 Manchester Ave, St. Louis, MO 63110) Sauce recommends trying:
- Baba Ganoush with charred naan bread
- Sultan Pilau, a phyllo dough pocket filled with lamb shank, basmati rice, nuts and salad
- Dolma, stuffed grape leaves
- Munto, steamed dumplings topped with garlic yogurt sauce, mint and parsley
Union 30 (705 Olive St., St. Louis, MO 63101) Sauce recommends trying:
- Mac and cheese
- Seared turbot with risotto and saffron broth
- 36-hour smoked beef short rib with garlic baby spinach over mashed potatoes
Old Herald Brewery and Distillery (115 E Clay St, Collinsville, IL 62234) Sauce recommends trying:
- Printer’s Ink, earthy stout
- Dear Abby cocktail, in-house Ardent Spirits vodka, orange zest syrup, cranberry juice and lime
- Old Herald Fries with cheese curds, gravy and beef cheek
- Short Rib Burger, chuck rib patty served with American cheese, pickle, onion and smoked ketchup
