Flash floods again overwhelm St. Louis roads and strand residents
Two days after a record-breaking rainfall, another storm hit St. Louis, causing more flooding throughout the metro area.

State Sen. Steve Roberts is challenging U.S. Rep. Cori Bush in the Democratic primary to represent St. Louis and part of St. Louis County. Whoever wins the primary likely will be elected in November because the district is overwhelmingly Democratic.

Residents of Ellendale, a west St. Louis neighborhood, asked local, state and federal officials to find a permanent solution to the neighborhood’s persistent flooding problems. After this week’s rainfall, many residents lost their homes and valuables.

Record rainfall St. Louis on Tuesday morning caused severe flash flooding that quickly turned dangerous for residents in low-lying areas. Many people needed first responders to help them leave their flooded homes, and at least one person died.
