The St. Louis Battlehawks and their rowdy fans are back in town after the start of the coronavirus pandemic in 2020 and the collapse of the first iteration of the XFL.
East ‘Safe’ Louis? That’s where the mayor says the city is headed as homicides fall 31%
In 2019, East St. Louis reported 36 homicides. The next year, Illinois State Police formed a partnership to help with criminal investigations and community partnerships. Last year, the city’s homicides dropped to 25.

Lawmakers chip away at Missouri governor’s plan for I-70 improvements
Much of Gov. Mike Parson’s $859 million plan to widen three sections of Interstate 70 will have to be pared back if lawmakers divert funds to other highways, Missouri Department of Transportation Director Patrick McKenna said.

Metro Call-A-Ride will reduce routes in parts of St. Louis County starting April 10
Metro Call-A-Ride paratransit services will reduce services in parts of St. Louis County starting next month. Metro officials say they need to cut routes to help reduce trip denials and phone reservation wait times. But advocates for people with disabilities worry that the reduced bus service will limit their independence.
