JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Missouri hunters will NOT be able to use dogs or vehicles to hunt deer as the season begins Saturday.
Last February two hunters sued over state regulations that prevent "motor-driven air, land or water conveyances" in deer hunting and prohibit the aid of dogs in taking deer.
A judge struck down the regulations as too vague and overly broad.
But Friday the Southern District of the Missouri Court of Appeals put a hold on the judge's ruling, meaning the regulations remain in effect until the appeals process is complete.
