2 women accused of hiding loot in Mo. ATM heist

By AP/St. Louis Public Radio

ST. LOUIS – Two woman are accused in a federal indictment of helping stash what's being called "substantial" amounts of cash stolen during a well-orchestrated, daylight heist of an ATM-servicing business in St. Louis.

LaTunya Wright and Annkesha Welch of St. Louis were indicted Wednesday on charges of conspiracy and of interstate transport of stolen currency. Those counts replace a criminal complaint against them last month.

No one has been charged directly in the Aug. 2 holdup of ATM Solutions, though a man investigators consider a suspect remains jailed on a weapons charge.

Authorities say four armed, black-clad bandits overpowered and subdued two workers at the business and locked them in a vault before absconding in an armored vehicle with loot-filled containers.

Authorities haven't said how much money was taken.

Messages left with the women's attorneys were not immediately returned.
