St. Louis – Many St. Louis-area commuters are being forced to find alternative routes after a huge sinkhole closed a busy intersection.
The southbound lanes of Big Bend Boulevard near Forest Park Parkway in University City were shut down Sunday because of the sinkhole, and crews aren't sure when the road will reopen.
St. Louis County crews are still trying to figure out what caused the sinkhole, though one possibility is heavy rain that has hit the region over the past several days.
