St. Louis – Crews will be making some repairs to Interstate 44 near the Meramec River starting Wednesday. The plan is to close the outside eastbound and westbound lanes over the river overnight to finish shoulder stabilization work.
It's part of a $3.7 million project to rehabilitate the westbound I-44 bridge over the Meramec and replace the deck on the Lewis Road overpass.
Workers will keep three lanes open on westbound I-44 during the day, although there will be lane closures at night and on weekends.
MODOT said there will be minimal impacts to eastbound I-44.
