WATERLOO, Ill – William Margulis, the attorney for a Metro East man accused of killing his wife and two young sons says he'll likely seek to have Christopher Coleman's trial moved out of Monroe County.
Coleman, 32, pleaded not guilty Wednesday and was ordered held without bond. Margulis said Coleman maintains his innocence.
He is charged with three counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of 31-year-old Sheri Coleman and their children, Garett and Gavin, ages 11 and 9.
All three were found dead in their Columbia home on May 5. Authorities have said the victims were strangled.
A judge set a preliminary hearing for June 10.
