More indictments ahead in Blagojevich case; former governor invited to NBC reality show

By AP/KWMU

Chicago – Rod Blagojevich's former chief of staff, campaign finance chairman and a millionaire lobbyist are scheduled to be arraigned Thursday on charges related to the racketeering and fraud case against the ousted Illinois governor.

Attorneys have said Blagojevich co-defendant John Harris is cooperating in the investigation. Harris is charged with wire fraud.

Blagojevich fundraisers Christopher Kelly and William Cellini Sr., face charges of fraud and extortion.

Meanwhile, NBC says it wants Blagojevich to be part of its reality TV show "I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here!"

The former Illinois governor would test his survival skills in the Costa Rican jungle along with nine other celebrities.

But Blagojevich needs a federal judge's permission to appear on the show because his bond does not allow foreign travel.

Blagojevich pleaded not guilty to federal corruption charges this week.
