Prosecutor wants former Riverview Gardens superintendent locked up

By KWMU staff

St. Louis – The St. Louis County prosecutor wants former Riverview Gardens Superintendent Henry Williams sent to prison.

Last year Williams pleaded no contest to charges he stole money from the district.

A judge issued a suspended jail sentence and ordered Williams to pay more than $100,000 in restitution.

But Prosecutor Bob McCullough told the Post-Dispatch Williams paid less than half of the $1,700 he owed this month, and he wants Williams' probation revoked.

The former superintendent has paid about $6,800 in restitution so far.
