St. Louis, MO – According to polls, the head-to-head match up between Senators Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton appears to be narrowing.

Obama spoke to crowd of 20,000-plus at the Edward Jones Dome on Saturday. Several weeks ago polls ranked Clinton with a double digit lead over Obama, now that lead appears to have vanished.

According to a recent Reuters/C-Span Poll, Obama has made up ground running virtually even with Clinton in Missouri, California and New Jersey.

In his speech in downtown St. Louis on Saturday, Obama cast the campaign as a choice between a bold new future and the "same old cast of characters".

"St. Louis I am here to report, my faith in the American People has been vindicated because all across the country people tell me that they are ready for change, they want to turn the page, they want to write a new chapter."

Missouri is one of over twenty states to hold primaries on Super Tuesday. The state has seen visits from most of the remaining presidential candidates in the past week.

Republican candidate Mitt Romney hosted a Super-Bowl party in St. Louis on Sunday. Arizona Senator John McCain made a brief stop in Chesterfield on Friday.

Former President Bill Clinton traversed the state several times, campaigning for his wife in Kansas City, Columbia and Springfield. Senator Hillary Clinton was also in St. Louis on Sunday.
