Cape Girardeau, Mo. – Timothy Krajcir's extradition to Missouri is on hold indefinitely now that the suspected serial killer has been charged with a second murder in Illinois.
This week prosecutors filed charges accusing Krajcir of killing a woman from Marion in 1978.
Krajcir has already pleaded guilty to killing a college student in Illinois. He's been charged with five murders in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and he's also suspected of slayings in Paducah, Kentucky, and Reading, Pennsylvania, all in the late 1970s and early 1980s.
Cape Girardeau County prosecutor Morley Swingle was told Thursday that Krajcir will remain at an Illinois prison until the case from Marion is resolved.
