St. Louis, Mo. – A half-billion dollar project to fix or replace 800 of Missouri's worst bridges is moving forward.
The two teams vying for the project turned in the first part of their bids Thursday.
That first part deals with the technical aspect of how each team would fix each bridge. The second part of the bid will reveal how much each team would charge the state.
MO-DOT plans to award a contract in about three weeks.
The 802 bridges include 12 in Jefferson County, 11 in St. Louis County, five in Franklin County and one in St. Charles County.
