2007-07-27 – In a written statement, Kinder describes the number of suspensions from this year's Tour de France as regrettable. He says the Tour of Missouri is committed to producing and operating a drug-free race and racing environment. Kinder's office serves as executive committee chair of the event. Tests for performance-enhancing drugs will be conducted by a medical officer approved by USA Cycling and by UCI, the international body that regulates cycling. Missouri's official bike race debuts Sept. 11th and runs through the 16th. It'll start in Kansas City, pass through several towns and end in St. Louis. For KWMU, I'm Marshall Griffin in Jefferson City.
