St. Louis, MO. – A St. Louis lawmaker is adding her name to the list of those who want to be the state's top lawyer.
Democratic House member Margaret Donnelly announced today that she is running for attorney general.
Democratic Attorney General Jay Nixon is running for governor next year.
Another Democrat lawmaker, Jeff Harris of Columbia, previously announced plans to run for attorney general.
Republican senators Michael Gibbons of Kirkwood and Chris Koster of Harrisonville are also in the race.
Donnelly says her experience as a family practice lawyer and in the Legislature qualify her to be attorney general.
