St. Louis, MO – Police say gunshots wounded six people in St. Louis Wednesday night as revelers celebrated the Fourth of July.
The victims were wounded in three separate incidents; all six were hospitalized.
At least one incident was a drive-by shooting that happened at 2:00 this morning (Thu.).
The first shooting happened just before midnight in north St. Louis. The second shooting happened after 1:30 a.m. in the south St. Louis neighborhood of Dutchtown.
KANSAS CITY SHOOTINGS
There were also a number of shootings in Kansas City overnight that left nine people shot, including one dead.
One of two youths in their late teens found shot in the street early this morning has dead, and the other is hospitalized. Police suspect the pair was shot elsewhere.
Six people were shot when a Fourth of July block party turned violent last night. Police said two of the victims's wounds are seriously, including one described as having "potentially life threatening" wounds. Witnesses told police about 200 people were at the block party when the shooting started.
