St. Louis, MO. – A St. Louis-area man has been found guilty of suffocating his two children along the banks of the Mississippi River in 2004.
St. Louis Circuit Judge Joan Burger rejected an insanity defense and found Anthony Moore guilty of two counts of first-degree murder.
The Berkeley man suffocated his two-year-old daughter and nine-month-old son on the river bank near the Chain of Rocks Bridge.
Moore could face life in prison at sentencing. He opted for a bench trial, meaning a judge, not a jury, decided his fate.
