St. Louis, MO – There will be a few new state Senators in Missouri next year, and one of them will be from St. Louis City.

Pat Dougherty is term-limited from running for his fourth district seat again.

Only Democrats are running replace him which means the next senator will be known next week.

- Boykins & El-Amin represent neighboring MO House district, but both live in the First Ward.
- Jones lives in the 22nd ward, which is also in the same House district El-Amin represents.
- Jones is an Air Force veteran, having worked in a missile silo at Altus AFB in Oklahoma.
- Smith was a co-valedictorian of the Ladue-Watkins High class of '92.
- Boykins' & El-Amin's husbands are both running for the House seats their wives now hold.
- Smith has raised the most money this campaign ($231,000); Jones, the least ($4,500).
- Gambaro's family owns Missouri Baking Company, on the Hill; he worked there in high school.
