St. Louis, MO – Investigators say they're not going to charge anyone with a crime in the drownings of five children in the Meramec River this weekend.
They say it was an accident when the children went in to help a sixth child who got caught in an undertow.
Four of the five who died were siblings. Their mother, Edris Moore, told the congregation at a prayer service last night to "let it go, my kids are in heaven."
The service was at the St. Louis Dream Center, the church in north City that had taken a group of children to Castlewood State Park Sunday.
The family of the fifth victim has retained an attorney; they're questioning whether any of the children who died were properly supervised.
Their attorney says the family wants to know whether adults were present when the five drowned youths - ages 10 to 17 - entered the Meramec River during the picnic.
The four siblings had never taken swimming lessons.
The Dream Center, run by internationally known television evangelist Joyce Meyer, says it is focused on ministering to the affected families and church community.
