One person dead in building collapse in Clinton, Mo.
Clinton, Mo. – There is now one confirmed death in the collapse Monday night of a building in the west-central Missouri town of Clinton is dead.
Tony Komer, 32, was among ten people who were trapped when the third floor of the building collapsed onto the second floor.
Komer was also the exalted ruler of the Elks Lodge in Clinton; the people in the building were there for an Elks initiation ceremony.
The nine other people who were trapped when the building collapsed were rescued throughout the night.
About 50 members of the Elks Club were finishing dinner on the second floor when the third floor collapsed.
