St. Louis, MO – A police department may seem just about the last place someone would break into but that is what has happened in East St. Louis, Illinois.
Early last month the department announced that one of its evidence storage areas had been breached. It was the third such evidence theft in five years.
The thefts are just the latest in a long line of troubles for the department and the city of East St. Louis---long known for its poverty, crime, and government corruption.
