St. Louis – A grand jury has indicted a 25-year-old St. Louis his alleged role in the fatal shooting of an 8-year-old boy who was playing on his grandmother's porch.
Neimaus Lawrence faces one count of first-degree murder, one count of first-degree assault and two counts of armed criminal action. Authorities say Lawrence is being held without bond.
The child, Craig Collins Jr., was shot the evening of October 12th as he and several other people were on the front porch. One of his cousins was wounded in the cheek.
Two juveniles charged in the case are still being held.
Relatives of the child have said they think the shooting was in retaliation for their efforts to get drugs out of the neighborhood.
