St. Louis, MO – Union teachers in Collinsville and the school district's administration will meet today (Tuesday) with a federal mediator in ongoing contract talks.
The teachers recently filed an intent-to-strike notice but have remained on the job during negotiations.
Teachers in Collinsville overwhelmingly rejected the school district's three-year contract offer and endorsed an intent-to-strike notice last month.
About 6,000 students are enrolled in the district.
The contract offer that was rejected at that time called for a 3% raise in the first year and 4% in each of the proposal's final two years.
