St. Louis, MO – The commission that's reviewing the list of proposed base closings will be in Missouri this week.
Some of the panel's nine members will visit three offices that are slated to close.
They include offices in St. Louis and Kansas City that house the Defense Finance and Accounting Services, as well as the Army Human Resources Command in Overland.
Closing the three facilities would cost Missouri about 3,000 military and civilian jobs.
Missouri is one of eleven states getting visits this week from members of the Base Realignment and Closure Commission. The commission will make a final recommendation to the President and Congress on closures later this year.
