Another threat at school prompts more police

By AP/KWMU

Potosi, MO – There will be extra police at John Evans Middle School in Potosi for the last week of class.

That's because a death threat was found last week scrawled on a girl's bathroom wall, and it mentioned specific names.

The school sent notes home warning parents and asking the 400 students not to bring book bags to school this week.

It's the fourth threat at a school in the region this month. Police have made arrests at Mount Olive High School in Illinois and Fort Zumwalt South High in St. Peters. Just a week ago, schools were locked down in Gillespie, Ill.
