St. Louis, MO – Monday is the first day of months-long lane closures on the east-bound Blanchette Bridge.
The two left lanes on the east-bound bridge are closed and will be for a few weeks.
Crews will replace expansion joins and also paint the span. It's part of a $11.6 million project.
Two lanes will be closed in two stages, and one more lane will be closed in the final stage, which means the bridge will go from five lanes to three for several months.
People heading from St. Charles County to St. Louis should consider taking the Page Avenue Extension, or Highway 40, or Route 364.
MO-DOT estimates about 82,000 cars cross the 25-year old eastbound Blanchette Bridge each day.
