Jefferson City, MO – The Missouri Supreme Court set another execution date on Monday.
Donald Jones now stands scheduled to die April 27th for killing his grandmother in 1993.
Prosecutors say Jones killed Dorothy Knuckles of St. Louis, after she refused to give him money to buy crack cocaine.
Jurors convicted Jones in June, 2004, and sentenced him to death two days later.
Prosecutors say Jones hit his grandmother with a butcher block, then stabbed her to silence her screams. They say he later sold her VCR and rented out her car to obtain drugs.
