Cahokia, Ill. – Police made a gambling raid this weekend at a golf course owned and operated by the Metro-East town of Cahokia.
Mayor Frank Bergman says at least one city employee is among the 21 who face charges after the bust at the Prairies of Cahokia Golf Course.
Bergman says officers got an anonymous tip that a charitable Texas Hold'em tournament was being held and determined the tournament was illegal.
Officers seized more than $4,500 in cash during the arrests.
All 21 people are charged with gambling. Manager Matthew Mueller also was charged with keeping a house of gambling.
