St. Louis, MO – The Speaker of the Illinois House, Mike Madigan, continues his trip through the state to hear from people about the state budget.
He'll be at Lewis & Clark College in the Metro-East town of Godfrey today (Monday).
Madigan's office says the speaker wants input but adds the meetings are not a way to push for some kind of tax increase. Madigan sparred with fellow Democrat and Governor Rod Blagojevich over the budget last year.
Today's public forum will be in the Multimedia Room at Lewis & Clark College, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
